Answer from Plaxo follows.
Not a lot of help.
If I disable it any problems cease so there must be a glitch in there
somewhere.

With Plaxo enabled I can do what you do 20-25 times now. In company view if
I start deleting crash guaranteed.

Think I've got better things tyo do with my life so will sign off for now
but if you get a response from MS let me know.

Hello,

I am sorry about the experience you've had.

There are numerous reasons why Outlook can crash. However, many usually have
no direct relationship with Plaxo. However, in the cases where Plaxo can
cause Outlook to crash. See below for suggestions on how to prevent
this:

* Make sure that you are running the most current version of Plaxo: visit
http://plaxo.com/downloads. Then, click on the download button and complete
the download and installation. The download will detect that you already have
Plaxo installed and will upgrade you to the latest version.
* If you have an old version of McAffee VirusScan (e.g. 7.x), we also
recommend that you upgrade McAffee VirusScan to a more recent version.
* There are numerous known problems with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft
Windows. Here's how you can check to make sure that you have the very latest
Office and Windows patches:

Microsoft Office (Outlook), visit this link:
http://office.microsoft.com/ProductUpdates/default.aspx

Microsoft Windows, visit this link:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com

* There is a known bug in Outlook XP version 10.2627.2625 where the nickname
file can become corrupted, causing Outlook to crash. This problem exists
regardless of whether Plaxo is installed. Applying the Office service pack 1
(or later) will fix the problem. This service pack is available from the
following link:

http://office.microsoft.com/ProductUpdates/default.aspx
If none of these help, please contact Plaxo Customer Care emergency support
by sending an e-mail using our webform at
http://support.plaxo.com/bin/request.py

I hope this helps. If we can be of further assistance, please let us know.

Best regards,
Angela

www.plaxo.com - online address book which replicates Outlook contacts and
does stuff
Lots of comments about crashes on their forum

This person is not using Plaxo, they have Exchange 2000 server, patched,
and Outlook 2003 (also patched) and if you open any contact from their
personal list up to 15 times it will crash Outlook. As a test, I can
replicate the error by selecting successive contacts by double clicking
on them and then pressing escape to close them, always, before the 15th
one, Outlook will crash and close.
