How do I run multiple instances of Excel?
In Word, each file opens in a separate instance of Word,
with its own Taskbar entry, etc. But with Excel, if I click on a second .XLS file, it opens in the same instance of Excel. How do I get Excel to behave like Word? Thanks! |

How do I run multiple instances of Excel?
Hi
Don't open the second workbook from excel instance you used to open the first workbook. Instead start a new instance of excel (p.e. from Start.Programs, or from desktop shortcut), and open the second workbook from there. -- Arvi Laanemets (Don't use my reply address - it's spam-trap) "Scott" wrote in message ... In Excel 2000, and later versions, you can choose ToolsOptions, and on
the View tab, add a check mark to 'Windows in Taskbar'.
