"Could Not Lock File"
In workgroup when trying to access the database on another computer [WinXP]
get "could not lock file" message so am unable to get into the database. Please Help. Joan |

1) Are you perhaps trying to open it Exclusively, and someone else is
already in it? Check the Advanced tab under Tools | Options and make sure that the Default Open Mode is set to Shared. 2) What permission do you have on the folder where the MDB exists? You need Change (Read, Write, eXecute, Delete), even if you're only trying to open the database read-only.
