Default can send, cannot receive

I am using XP with SP2, outlook 2000. Comcast is my ISP. I have made Outlook
an exception to my firewall. Express always works and Outlook always sends
and sometimes receives. When it does not receive it does not give an error
messsage, it just shuts down and asks if I would like to send a report to MS.
I have imported the account from express to Outlook and removed the account
from express.

I do not know what to try next. Any ideas?
