Default Macros within Powerpoint

Hi,

I need to record a macro within Powerpoint which will open the program I'm
teaching "PaintShop Pro full screen whilst the Presentation is running.
Naturally I need the PSP program to be on top of Powerpoint so that I can
demonstrate a function then close PSP manually.
I may be stupid but I can't see how to stop the macro recording, as when PSP
opens while I'm recording the macro I can no longer see the stop recording
button. Surely there is a shortcut I can use?? Please help if you know the
answer.
Ron.
