Access 2007 lookup tables for 2003 users
Is there a way to create lookup tables , as in the table analyser in Access
2007, for access 2003 mdb database? I used table analyser on my accdb file to create more tables with relationships, but this method won't work on a mdb file, so Access 2007 tells me. Thanks |

Access 2007 lookup tables for 2003 users

Access 2003 doesn't "know about" Access 2007. If you want an idea, though about how you could design in Access 2003, use the Access 2007 format and import the data from 2003, run the analyzer, and note the suggestions. Then you'd go back to the A03 version and "manually" create those. -- Regards Jeff Boyce www.InformationFutures.net Microsoft Office/Access MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Microsoft IT Academy Program Mentor http://microsoftitacademy.com/ "Bob H" wrote in message ... Access 2007 lookup tables for 2003 users
Hi Jeff,
so if I loaded the database up in Access 2003 and used the table analyser from there, that would do the same as it does in Access 2007, but would the database still run in 2007 after running the analyser in 2003? We're not there. We don't know how your db is set up. Generally, Access 2007 can run Access 2003 dbs, but not the reverse. -- Regards Jeff Boyce www.InformationFutures.net Microsoft Office/Access MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Microsoft IT Academy Program Mentor http://microsoftitacademy.com/ "Bob H" wrote in message ... Access 2007 lookup tables for 2003 users
Hi Jeff,
my database was created in Access 2007 and is made up of 9 tables as well as a Swtchboard, which I have customised to use? the 9 forms from the tables and querries. I'm not sure what you mean about not being there. Thanks "Jeff Boyce" -DISCARD_HYPHEN_TO_END wrote in message ... Bob We're not there. We don't know how your db is set up.
