Default Office Pro 2003 v Office Pro XP

I need help discerning which product I should buy through my Universities
program. My machine runs WinXP Pro. The listing at the school's site
indicates that I can order either Office Pro 2003 or Office Pro XP. What's
the difference and which is better for an WinXP Pro installation? Thanks
Scott
