Default newbie question: Need to create a month-calendar view report

I'm creating a database to track assignments. They are tracked by dates: date
assigned, expected completion date, draft completion dates, approvals, etc.
Most reports are default types---assignments by staff member, completed in
past month/week/etc. The question is
1. How due I plot assignments in a "monthly calendar" view/report? This
report should display the assignment titles on the "expected completion" date.

2. Is it possible to change the "expected completion" date from within this
"monthly calendar" view?

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance

WJE,
If you're not an experienced Access programmer, this can/will be a very daunting task.
Particularly with your "calendar" format requirement.
I'd certainly research an "off the shelf" project management application, rather than
a "grow your own."

This is similar to a common question... "How do I build an Accounting program for my
business."
Well, you don't... you buy any one of many excellent accounting programs out there,
that work perfectly, and cost 1/100 of the time and effort needed to build your own.

Custom applications are only really viable, in cost and effort, if there is no
suitably priced "canned" application that will meet your clients needs, and that need is
great enough to warrant the time and effort involved.
My 2 cents....

Duane,

I have read many post by you on the subject and visited your website also,
very cool and helpful.

Isn't there an add-on (or control) or something that would allow me to
create calendar type report? I have a table with two fields, date and event,
I just want to display the events in wall calendar type of view.

Thanks

I'm not aware of any free add-on or control for this. I'm sure you could
purchase some calendar type widget. My calendar report should meet your needs
unless there is something I don't know about your requirements.
