Default Time calc formula please.

=24*(TEXT(A2,"00\:00")-TEXT(A1,"00\:00"))

It would have been easier if you had put in your times as times, 08:00 and
15:15

Hi,

Put this in A5 and format as general

=(A2-A1)*24

Mike

When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that
introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the
question.

That's fine if the contents of A2 and A1 are times formatted without the
colon, but they look as though they might be text.

David,

I never noticed that until I saw your other post, I agree my solution is
unlikely to be the answer.
