comparing data and return only data that exsist in the 2 columns
1. I need help really bad. I made a default column
with a list of names(say A1:A10, these are names) and i use a macro to import a text file with 3 columns ( D16, E1:E6, F1:E6). the first columns (D16) of the imported file have some matching NAMES as the default columns (A1:A10 but not all of the names) what i will like to do is compare the defaulted columns names(A1:A10) with the imported columns say(D16) and return names that match with their corresponding columns on a new columns. So my result should produce 3 columns. the matching names and their additional imported two cells. This fomula =IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A1,$C$1:$C$5,0)),"",A1) only work if I need one column.thanks in advance |

how about another if formula in the column next to the
match formula column? Assuming the match formula is in column G, column H can be =IF(G1="","",E1) -----Original Message----- 1. I need help really bad.
