Default Microsoft Publisher 2007 error

I am getting an error that says "MSPUB.EXE cannot access a necessary file
msvcr80.dll" Searching the computer for this file, I find it in many
different places, but mostly under subfolders of Windows/winsxs. Which one
would you suspect is missing or corrupt?

Do you have this service pack?
Description of the 2007 Microsoft Office suite Service Pack 1
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936982

Description of Office 2003 Web Components Service Pack 1 for the 2007 Office
system
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937961

There are three msvcr80.dll listed in the article. If you have a later version
you do not have to install this service pack.

Thank you for your quick response. Although it was not the repair I needed,
it did point me in the right direction.

I already had Office 2007 SP1 installed, and the Office 2003 came back as
"no need components installed".

I then discovered the Diagnostics & Repair utility, ran that, and it seems
to have resolved the problem. I will run it for a day or two and see if I can
get it to malfunction again.
