Outlook 2003 - How do you turn off "You've got mail" notification?
It has been driving me crazy too. Do you have a Toshiba Notebook? I do and
it's a Toshiba thing. A little voice from my computer told me what to do. Actually when the Toshiba Speech System screensaver was on it would not stop talking and my daughter asked me to shut it up. Here is what you do according to the Toshiba Speech System instructions ("Removing Mail Speak from Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002/2003"): Start Microsoft Outlook. Click the Tools menu, and then select Options. Click the Other tab. Click the Advanced Options button. Click the Add-In Manager button. Click the Mail Speak (TOSHIBA) checkbox (it should be blank) to turn the system OFF. Click OK to close the Add-In Manager dialog box. Click OK to close the Advanced Options dialog box. Click OK to close the Options dialog box. Mail Speak is now disabled in Outlook. Since the little guy can't seem to count, I would really like to silence him. Where is he hiding? |
