Default Switchboard buttons not creating

I am using Access 2007. When I add a button it does not appear on the
switchboard. I did delete one button, but it was not working either. How do I
create a button that will appear and work properly? Thanks in advance for
your advice.

Did you edit the Switchboard in Design View or edit the Switchboard through
Tools, Database Utilities, Switchboard Manager?

Working on a switchboard is dangerous stuff. There is lots of things going
on behind those buttons. You can lock up you database so it cannot be opened
or repaired.
I know from experience but luckly I had a backup that was not too many days
old.

Many folks will tell you to create your own by using a form and command
buttons.
