Default Search and Replace in queries, etc?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a (preferably) free download or other option to try and go
through and do an S&R throughout an entire database. What I'm doing is
carrying over one database to five different regions, and need to go through
and rename tables/criteria in queries/reports etc. with very specific details.
I'm doing it manually right now, and it's taken me about 9 hours to do one
(lots of complicated relationships, need to make sure I capture everything).
If there was some way that I could run a program that will go thru and change
every REGION_1 to REGION_2a, that would be totally sweet.....
Any ideas, or is this going to be an all day/lots of coffee/no sleep sorta
deal?
Thanks all,
Chris

Ucora's Find and Replace Add-in Wizard is free
http://www3.bc.sympatico.ca/starthere/findandreplace/
(must add that I have no experience with it, so I can't comment on its
quality)

I like Find & Replace http://www.rickworld.com/products.html

There's also Speed Ferret http://www.moshannon.com/speedferret.html although
it's a bit more expensive.

Sweet!! Thank you (I have just found something that as an admin will make my
life easier - check out www.rjlsoftware.com - they have an app called Net
Send Lite, which allows you to send a message up to 256 characters to
multiple users - very cool for notifying people quickly of things...that is,
if they read the message....)
Thanks again,
Chris

Chris

From your description, it sounds like your database/table design might be
customized to each region.

What about the possibility of creating a generic set of tables and adding a
field that you use to specify region?

That way, your queries, etc. would work for all, without changes.

Or have I misunderstood?
