How can I open a Publisher 3.0 file in Publisher 2000?
My cousin gave me a Publisher 3.0 file and I have Publisher 2000. When I try
opening it in Publisher 2000 it gives me the error "Publisher can not open files from a different version." How can I open this file? Can anyone convert it for me? Thank you. |

If you have Norton, disabling script blocking might help facilitate opening the file.
If that doesn't do it, send it to me and I will convert the file to 2000. I don't have Norton. There are twelve files in total that need to be
converted. I appreciate your help, I will send you a link shortly to download the files, they are quite large. Thanks again. Below is a link to download the files since they are too large to email.
Feel free to use the website (http://ftp.pbworld.com) to send them back to me. This file is available for 14 days from the date shown on this email, after that it is automatically deleted. Please follow the link below to download the file in zipped format. https://ftp.pbworld.com/GetFile.aspx?fn=905397788.zip "Mary Sauer" wrote: If you have Norton, disabling script blocking might help facilitate opening the file. Sarah, I did not have your email address. These files are huge. Publisher 2000 does
not compress images. In one of the files Publisher could not convert the image so I extracted it and it is separate from the file. The zip files are broken up into 3 folders. I put the files on this web page. They will take a while to download... It took quite awhile for the upload. http://www.sequestered-nook.com/pictureone.htm -- Mary Sauer MS MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "Sarah Binkowski" wrote in message ... Have them save the files in 2000 file format (File Save As and change file type to 2000). All versions after 3.0 still show 3.0 internally as the version number. -- Brian Kvalheim Microsoft Publisher MVP http://www.publishermvps.com This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. |
