Default Is it possible to import footnotes with a Word document?

I have a large Word document with footnotes that needs to be imported into
Publisher. Can the footnotes be transferred as well? I have looked in the
Help and online about this, and found nothing.

Thank you,
Amy

Publisher does support footnotes. Large documents are best done in Word.

Mary Sauer was very recently heard to
utter:

No, it doesn't.

Perhaps you intended to put the word "not" in third position in the
sentence? :-)

MS Publisher not supporting footnotes. I have same problem as Amy. Seems if publisher is needed for a final manuscript, the user needs to print the manuscript as a guide to manually REINSERT all the footnotes and numbers in the final published document.

If you are doing a "manuscript", why Publisher? If Word has already created
footnotes why would you want to go through the pain of converting the numbers
and footnotes.
