Preview feature in Office 2007 UI
Although this is a great feature one of the flaws I have encountered is that
in order to see changes in a dcoument that is currently viewed at 100%, I have to first either make the document smaller or make the preview palate smaller, if possible (both make either viewing the document or the available changes less visible). It would be easier to move the ribbon to a location where the document is not so covered up or ideally have a way to move the individual preview items (i.e., fonts, font sizes, styles, etc) off the ribbon to a location where the preview could be observed without covering the test that would be affected. To have to zoom the document out (make smaller to observe the preview affect) and then zoom the document back in (restore to a readable view) seems like an unecessary step. For example, I may want to apply a style to a header, if I extend the style palate, it often covers the header that I want to preview. My screen resolution is at 1024x768. It has got to be worst at 800x600. I suggest that with the next rev, that more flexibility for moving the ribbon around is added for the end user. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
