promoting your private newsgroup doesn't really help answer the
question................

robin - is your data protected? that may be why the new data doesn't
"stick".

Susan, thank you for your kind remark.
I just wanted to stress that it's sometimes easier to solve a problem
when one has a sample ( which can be posted on our forum) then trying to
guess what goes wrong for the OP.

Default EXCEL PASTE DOES NOT CHANGE DATA - PASTE DOESN'T WORK!

Thanks - I joined the forum but dont know how to post. There are other
issues with my spread sheet - i.e. I can't insert cells - only rows & colums.
Wondering if some settings are off? My spreadsheet is not protected.

Default EXCEL PASTE DOES NOT CHANGE DATA - PASTE DOESN'T WORK!

do you close the first spreadsheet before trying to paste into the
second spreadsheet? that would eliminate excel's cutcopypaste mode
and then pasting wouldn't work. can you copy & paste into a DIFFERENT
workbook?
are there any macros in the workbooks?
there aren't any settings i know of that would allow inserting rows &
columns but not cells. still sounds like there's some protection
going on.
sorry i can't be more helpful.

Attatchments.

To upload a workbook, click reply then add your few words, scroll down
past the submit button and you will see the Manage Attatchments button,
this is where you get to add files for upload, if you have any trouble
please use this link or the one at the bottom of the
any page.
