Vista and XP are operating systems, Publisher 2003 will work just fine on either
or both. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "fred" wrote in message ... I have publisher 2003 xp, do I have to buy a copy of vista to install on new computer |

If you purchased your copy of Publisher separately from your computer, no.
If it came preinstalled on the old computer, yes. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "fred" wrote in message ... I have publisher 2003 xp, do I have to buy a copy of vista to install on new computer |

You misread the question. Why would the OP have to buy Vista, an
operating system? Craig JoAnn Paules wrote: If you purchased your copy of Publisher separately from your computer, no. If it came preinstalled on the old computer, yes. |

The OP said they have a new computer. If their copy of Publisher was an OEM
version on the old computer, then they need to purchase another copy of Publisher. I don't believe the OP meant to ask if he/she had to purchase Vista. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Craig Schiller" wrote in message ... Perhaps not, but that's what the OP wrote.

I think the OP may be a bit of a novice and isn't sure what the different
terms mean. Maybe he'll post again and let him help him........and maybe not. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Rob Giordano [MS MVP]" wrote in message ... actually the op makes no sense yes he would need an operating system maybe he would need another copy of Publisher...depends. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rob Giordano Microsoft MVP Expression Web "Craig Schiller" wrote in message ...
