Default address book from outlook express to outlook

There is a very quick alternative solution to this problem to save everyone
time and aggravation since the Outlook Import wizard works exactly as
advertised when all is entered correctly:

#1 - Using OE - export OE contacts to a CSV file
*** if no contacts get exported - the issue is one for the OE
newsgroup in case there is an OE configuration issue at play - nothing to do
with Outlook
#2 - Import the CSV file into an Outlook contact folder (Outlook does not
import into the AddressBook)
#3 - Make sure your contact folder is flagged to show as an email
AddressBook - right-click folder -- properties
-- Outlook Address Book

we are speaking a different language! I googled outlook express to
outlook,
and got the microsoft link. there is a very simple instruction to import
address book. I followed it, but the addresses didn't get moved. Have you
had
this problem before? Do you have any other ideas?

thanks for your interest Gordon. I can't read your last message for
some
reason. The url is microsoft.com/outlook/HA010943871003.aspx

why can't I cut and paste that??? thanks again

I get no results for that - why can't you copy the URL and paste it in a
reply?
