"Beginners"
I am helping my ninety-year-old grandmother learn to use the computer. Does
anyone have advice or can anyone point me to a knowledge base on basic (like, REALLY basic elementary stuff) computer skills? At this point, my primary objective is for my nannie to get the hand-to-eye coordination for the mouse... any suggestions? She likes to play bridge-- is there a free download for bridge? Thanks! Joanna and Nannie,
Actually this is the wrong group to post to concerning your question. Best suggestion would be to google your query (www.google.com) for more information. Did one quick search on bridge and there were over 54,000,000 hits. You could narrow your search to be more specific. Also your Windows machine could be configured to be more specific, large type, etc to help. For Windows information you can search and post he http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/e...e/default.mspx Chris Schatte use the Office Online web based newsreader he http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx In Office System 2003 applications: Help/Assistance Pane/open Communities "Joanna and Nannie" wrote: I am helping my ninety-year-old grandmother learn to use the computer. Joanna (and my Nannie) "At this point, my primary objective is for my nannie to get the hand-to-eye coordination for the mouse.." Perhaps a jigsaw puzzle program would help. You can find Jixxa he http://www.risoftsystems.com/ . Jixxa can create puzzles from most *.jpg and *.bmp image files. You can find good images for puzzles at the National Geographic Picture of the Day he http://www.nationalgeographic.com/photography/ . For Bridge programs suggest a Goggle search. Don |
