The Excel viewer does not need a code, the proper program does...you will be
able to get this from your local MS subsidiary if you have a legitimate copy

Excel Viewer does not come with a product key.

It is a free add-in supplied by Microsoft so those without Excel installed can
open and print Excel files.

Sounds like you are trying to install Excel or MS Office suite from a CD.

Explain in more detail what you are attempting to do.

Product keys cannot be found on a website.

Default excel viewer

When I went to a web site today it said I needed Excel Viewer to view the web
site, the web site had a free downlaod for Excel Viewer for those who did not
have it. I tried to open the web site read page and it prompted me to
download the excel viewer, so, I clicked on the install. However it took me
to a page where it wanted 25 case numbers, saying it can be found on my CD
case. However I do not have the numbers. I went around another way - through
Microsoft and downloaded the E.V. after downloading it Microsoft informed me
that it was now installed. I went back to the web site and tried to re-open
the page to read it and it said I needed to install the E.V sooooo, I pressed
install and it again prompted me to put in the 25 numbers. I am confused. Is
there a problem with my PC?

http://www.wvncsd.com this is the web site I went to - on the right
of the web page is a link to open active warrants and home confinement
updates, when I click on that it tries to open the next page, but fails to
because it says I do not have excel viewer. At the bottom of the first page
it gives a free download excel viewer - so I have clicked that and it
downloads the E.V. However when I go back to the main page and click on
active warrant list Microsoft Word pops up promting me to add the 25 case
numbers. I already have Mirosoft Word in my PC, so I went and got my M.W CD
case and added the numbers there, thinking it was trying to reinstall a newer
update, but it said the numbers were invailid. So I cancled the download for
Microsoft Word so I could just view the web site behind it and the web page
went blank and said that I needed E.V to view the page. I think there is
something wrong with my pc. but unsure.

The first message states that you need Excel instealled to open the workbook.

It goes on to say that if you don't have Excel installed, download the Excel
Viewer.

You do so, then you must install the Excel Viewer by running the xlviewer.exe
installation.

Then go back to the website and try again to open the active warrants workbook.

You probably have Microsoft Word installed as part of Microsoft Works, which
does not include Excel.
