Wavy Text to match banner shape
I tried WordArt, but it doesn't appear that you can match the wave with the
banner shape that I need. Even if I were to get that to work, I can't see a way of editing the text so that I don't have the shadow effect. Is there some add-on that would help me do what I am trying for? Thanks, Joanna Jack London News |

The waves are relatively limited; there are yellow handles that can do minor modifications to the shapes. Is there some add-on that would help me do what I am trying for? Not really. Text-on-a-path is currently best done using a vector graphics program such as the free Inkscape (www.inkscape.org). -- Ed Bennett - MVP Microsoft Publisher http://ed.mvps.org |

If Publisher is all you have...
Create your text with WordArt. Copy/paste special as a .wmf, ungroup. You now can rotate and move each letter individually. You also can remove or add shadows, 3D effects and so on. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "JackLondonNews" wrote in message ... Thanks, Joanna Jack London News- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Thanks for the advice. In the end I was able to do it in PhotoShop. I've also bought Corel Draw, which also has that functionality and should be easier based on the demo version I tried. I did try Inkscape, but I need to spend more time with the manual, because it wasn't immediately apparent how to get it just right! Oh well, got through another deadline. On to the next edition and next batch of challenges. Thanks, Joanna |
