Default Form Autoformat not working right

Why does autoformat work in Northwind but not in my databases? It appears
fine in the downloaded Northwind Database, but layers appear to be missing in
any I create myself. I get a color change, but none of the gradients or
graphics in the header. I cannot find any different settings in properties or
Access options. Please help. I am working in Access 2007

Not sure if you got this to work but I had the same problem and just found
this solution on another website
http://www.eggheadcafe.com/conversat...did=3225 4185

It worked for me. Follow these steps.
In Access:
access button
access options
current database
under picture property storage format, selected preserve source image
format. (was on convert all picture data to bitmaps....
