Default Applying consecutive filters to a table

Using Access 2000. I have applied a filter to a table
with good results. If I apply another filter while in a
filterd view am I filtering on the results of the current
filter or is the filter applied to the original table?

Thank you in advance.

Filters applied to a filtered view are applied on top of the primary filter,
e.g. filtering the filter.
