Default PowerPoint should have a Lock/Unlock button to lock the position .

PowerPoint should have a Lock Position command so that if you don't want
certain objects to move in your slide, you can lock the position. As long as
an object is locked, it cannot be moved, but you can still select it and
change other attributes such as color.

I agree! Send your request to Microsoft's PPT development team (yes, they do
read these requests and yes they actually have an impact on what goes into

Peihsin posted the request as a "suggestion" on the web interface. Suggestions
