Default What video player do I need to use for high definition video clips

Power point 2007. My Laptop: HP Pavilion dv6448se Entertainment Notebook PC:
AMD Turion (tm) 64 X2 Mobile tec Tl-56 1.80 GHz, 32- bit Operating Sys,
NVIDIA Graphics, Windows Vista Home Premium, Office 2007

Heres the question. Power Point 2007 presentation (slide show)
What video player can I use to play high definition video clips in a slide
on a slide show?? I'm talking high quality video, not garbage windows media
player 2mpeg stuff. I can make them, edit them, play them all day long
outside of power point but not in power point. I can play standard video
clips but havn't found a player to play the clips in High definition that
power point likes. What am I missing or doing wrong or havn't worked out
yet??? I'm think a gazilion doller microsoft should have somthing that will
work and play really well like that of a Quick time player. The Quick time
player and others can play HD and Blue ray Quality high def clips but power
point won't let me play them on a slide in a slide show.. Ok, so what player
do you advise I can use that power point will grab onto and play the clips??

Hay Austin, I was hoping you would get to my question..
Well I believe I'm kinda limited to some kind of mpeg because windows media
player won't play anything else. It wants those codecs... So what I'm doing
is using mpeg ( Xvid, Divx compatible ) format and conveting to an AVI file
that alows me to create High Def clips.. I'm not sure if there is High def
mpeg, I havn't found it.. Depending on the origional movie, I'll convert to
wide screen if its not already.. I have purchase the AVS4YOU video editer
because its simple to use and it alows me to do that.. Also they offer all
there products for one price.. What my problem is, I would like to play
blueray quality video clips in my presentations and mpeg just doesn't cut
it.. Its old news.. New news is blue ray quality.. Have any sugestions on
how to make windows media player preform better givin that power point 2007
will only allow the windows media player to play any clips??? How about you
tell me the format I should be using and should I convert the file to
somthing else for playback in a power point presentation clip?? What I did
was try and work the problem untill I got the best result I could find but
there are allot of people out there smarter then me and I want to make my
presentations in the highest quality as I can.. So here I am...

Lets start from the beginning, what format are the original files? I ask as
everytime you convert to another format you lose quality. If at all
possible we want to do this in a single step.
