Default Rebooted XP now I have no Office can I reinstall without repurchas

My Computer was slow and eventually crashed, I had to erase and reboot my XP
system, after installing all CD's I had, I now have no Microsoft Office. Can
I reinstall it without repurchasing. When I bought my laptop initially MO was

You need to contact the computer manufacturer and hope that you didn't wipe
out that part of the drive.

Hi Sheryl & Wayne,

The manufacturer normally provides source files for all pre-installed
applications along with the source files for the Operating System so if you
were able to reinstall Windows, the Office source should also be on the
System Restore media.

System restore media can be
1) set of cd/dvd's
2) hidden partition on your hard drive

You need to contact the supplier to asertain as to where the Office cd or
restore is

A lot of computer manufacturers no longer give you're a restore CD. We've
bought 4 computers since February. None of them came with a disc.

Thanks for that, I spoke to hp, and they said, they don't provide the Office
restore cd. It sure makes it hard if your pc fails... I'll have to repurchase
it.

Always amazes me that some people expect an office suite which retails for
hundreds of pounds to be supplied free of charge!

Did you buy your PC new or second hand? If it was a previously owned/used
PC then anything could have been installed on it by the previous owner.

Ive never seen a new PC preinstalled with the full Office Suite (apart from
the
trial versions). Certainly some HP PC's come with MS Word and the Works
suite but
not the full Office.

Maybe you are confusing the Works Suite with the Office Suite?

I^)
