Some one created a template and when other charts are copied and pasted into
it ... the fonts and lines change to white.. is there a fix for this?

When pasting the chart, there should be a small clipboard icon appearing at
the bottom right hand corner of the chart. Click on the icon to bring up the
paste options. Select Keep Source Formatting. If the icon does not appear,
re-paste the chart again.

Alternately, you can paste it as a PNG image.
Click Edit Paste Special Picture (PNG).
See if it helps.

One way is probably to edit the color schemes so that the chart follows the
set of colors when being pasted.
Under Slide Design, select Color Schemes.
Then click on Edit Color Schemes. I'm guessing that you will need to change
the text and lines into another color. This will though change the color of
the text in the presentation.

http://www.echosvoice.com/colorschemes3.htm explains where your charts pick
up their colors. Maybe this will help if you decide to edit the template --
or the charts.
