Default Create Dist List from Excel file?

Hi,

I'm using Office 2000 today (Office 2003 starting
tomorrow) on WinXP on a company network.

I want to create a Distribution List from an Excel file.
Is that possible? I can't see any way to import from
Excel directly into a distribution list.

I don't want to import into my Address Book first,
because that's already full of a lot of names and I don't
want to have to go through and select all 140 names for
the distribution list from Outlook. Plus, I don't really
need the names in Outlook for anything else.

When I couldn't find a way to import Excel into a
distribution list, I tried to make a separate Contacts
file and just pull all of those into the distribution
list, but I can't seem to list the new Contact file
separately from my other contacts.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
