Is it installed? Click Start Run. Type WINWORD.EXE and hit enter.

Yes, it is installed, and it runs fine
I found Winword.exe aand created a desktop shortcut which works.
I can't understand why "MS Word" does not appear in the list of "ALL
Programs" under start. All the rest of my MS Office programs are listed.

Sorry, I don't know why it wouldn't have been added, particularly
since the other were. Glad you were able to get a shortcut setup.

There may be a chance that it is listed somewhere else and you're
missing it. I know I have so many apps that it's sometimes hard to
find everything.

I have a free utility on my web site that allows you to get a printout
of all the apps listed in Start Programs. If you want to run it to
check, you'll find it he

http://www.mousetrax.com/downloads.html

If you want to use it...follow these steps...

* Go to the URL above..

* Scroll down to find the "List All Programs" listing along the left
menu and click it to jump down to that section. READ the information
and there's an article you might want to review.

* Click to download the file...and WATCH where you save it (saving to
your desktop for now is just fine)

* Unzip the file (which in WinXP can be done by right clicking and
choosing Extract All.

* Once unzipped, you'll find a file called ListAllPrograms.dot. Double
click it.

* As long as Word security is not set to High, the code will be
available to you once you ENABLE the macros enclosed.

* Click Tools Macro Macro.

* Find the macro in the list called "PrintAllPrograms"

* Select it and click Run.

You will then get a nice "tree structure" listing of all the programs
you currently in your Programs list. You can save and review this list
(easier/faster than clicking all those "fly out" menus...or just print
a copy.)

Good luck...
