Hi!
Newbie question? If you really must do this you need to use VBA because, praise be to Microsoft, this feature hasn't been introduced. Here's a sample of code that goes in the Sheet Module: Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) If Intersect(Target, Me.Range("MyFlashCell")) Is Nothing Then Exit Sub Dim n As Integer Dim NextTime As Date If Range("MyFlashCell").Value 7 Then For n = 1 To 5 With Range("MyFlashCell").Font If .ColorIndex = 2 Then .ColorIndex = 3 Else .ColorIndex = 2 End With With Range("MyFlashCell").Interior If .ColorIndex = 3 Then .ColorIndex = 2 Else .ColorIndex = 3 End With Application.Wait Now + TimeValue("00:00:01") Next End If With Range("MyFlashCell") ..Font.ColorIndex = 3 ..Interior.ColorIndex = 2 End With End Sub -- Regards Norman Harker MVP (Excel) Sydney, Australia Excel and Word Function Lists (Classifications, Syntax and Arguments) available free to good homes. Good thing you added the "grin!" or you would have the torch and pitchfork crowd heading for your house.grin Gord Dibben Excel MVP On Sun, 7 Mar 2004 11:00:38 -0800, "Ray" wrote: Thanks Norman, think its time for ms to make that feature available more easily. grin! |
