Recommendations needed for installation order of Access XP, Access XP runtime, ...
EMAILSUBJECTNewsgroup Message Response to IssueID: ISSUEID/EMAILSUBJECT Hi NAME, I wanted to inform you that I have replied to your thread in the Office Setup Newsgroup titled: NEWSGROUPSUBJECT with IssueID: ISSUEID. a href="http://wwww.microsoft.com Basically you are not very restricted with your installation of Access. I believe the only thing is taht The Runtime and the full product will install Access.exe to the same location. therefore you can only have either the full or runtime edition of each version. Example: You could have the following installed on the same PC at the same time. Access 97 Runtime C:\MSOffice\Office Access 2000 Full Version C:\Program FIles\Microsoft Office\Office Access 2002 (XP) Runtime C:\Program FIles\Microsoft Office\Office10 Access 2003 Full Version C:\Program FIles\Microsoft Office\Office11 Could you run all versions simultaneously? Yes Of course the last version installed will be used when you open a file file double-clicking it. (File association thing) Is this redundant? Yes. I can't really think of any reason for this. BTW: If you have the Full version installed, you do not need the runtime version. 290576 OFFXP: Running Multiple Versions of Microsoft Office http://support.microsoft.com/?id=290576 241141 ACC2000: How to Install Access 97 and Access 2000 on the Same Computer http://support.microsoft.com/?id=241141 159333 ACC: Running Current and Earlier Versions of Access Simultaneously http://support.microsoft.com/?id=159333 Please reply directly to the thread with any updates.
