Default Publisher does not recognize my printer

I just reinstalled my printer drivers due to an unrelated network issue.
Now, I cannot print to the printer from Publisher 2002. When I try to print
preview or print, it tells me I must first install a printer. Well, the
printer is installed and prints fine from every other application - just not
Publisher. The printer is on a network. I have been able to print to it
from Publisher before. What do I need to do to get Publisher to realize
there really is a happy, receptive little printer out there just waiting to
do its bidding?

Any help is always appreciated!

When you select Print in Publisher, is there more than one printer in the
printer list? If so, try another listing.

STFW would be a damned good start. I answered an identical question not 10
days ago, in some detail too. By asking this it proves you are too damned
lazy to wipe your own arse and you want someone to do it for you! Well we
only help those who first help themselves.

Actually, I just spent the better part of the last hour searching the forum
for an answer to my question and was unable to find it. Try asking first
before assuming.

I don't even get this far. Just a dialog box that states no printer is
installed - no list is in sight. Even that would be a welcome change. Any
other ideas?

Speak for yourself Sarah. You DO NOT speak for the group. Most here actually
are here to help, not to dump on people asking for help, or dump on the
people helping. I suggest that since you don't want to be civil or helpful,
then go away!

Just ignore Sarah. She gets her jollies by berating and dumping on people,
and does not speak for this group.

Depending on what news reader a person is using, there is a distinct
possibility that a 10 day old post or thread has already gone missing from
the list. Our RR server habitually dumps posts within 7 days. Perhaps you
should try taking your meds again.

I was going to suggest a formal introduction between Publisher and the
printer. Publisher, I'd like to introduce Printer. Printer, meet Publisher.

(I really need a vacation!)

Then you're either a liar or completely crap at searching. Ever heard of
Google? I'd try using it once in a while. I don't repeat myself after only 10
days.

I suggest you search again as this is an FAQ and is asked at least once a
week.
