I've seen it happen when the print heads are dirty and need to be cleaned.

Most Epson printers have utilities that will clean your print head. Sounds like you
have a clogged black cartridge. Open your printer folder, right-click your printer, properties. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "princessz325" wrote in message ... Go to the Epson web site, look for your printer, read the support documents.

I suspect the issue is not a Publisher issue, but a printer issue.

I read on a printer forum you can put clogged cartridges in boiling water for awhile
and they will become unclogged. Haven't tried it. -- Mary Sauer MSFT MVP http://office.microsoft.com/ http://msauer.mvps.org/ news://msnews.microsoft.com "JoAnn Paules [MSFT MVP]" wrote in message ...
