Default Identification of placed figures

I had placed a number of pictures in a document. But since it was done long
back, I forgot their names. Is it possible in Word to find out the names of
the files the pictures consisted of? That is, what was the filename of each
picture inserted in word?
Thanks

Default Identification of placed figures

Hi

If you embedded the images in the Word document, then Word forgot about the
source of the images the moment they were inserted.

If you linked the images from their source, then Word has retained that
information. Do Alt-F9. If you see Link field codes containing paths and
file names, then you can read the source of the images. If, when you do
Alt-F9, you continue to see the images, then they are embedded, and no
information about their origin is available.

Hope this helps.
