changing nudge distance default
I submitted a question asking how to reduce the nudge distance default from
0.01 to 0.001. I received a response with the following link: http://www.microsoft.com/wn3/aspx/no.../www.microsoft. com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx%3fdg%3dmicrosoft.public. publisher%26mid%3df073d846-47b4-4b92-9ba6-f46e73f05e5f I am unable to get this link to open. Can anyone answer my original question or tell me how to open this link? By the way, I use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser. url:http://www.ureader.com/gp/1123-1.aspx |

What is really crazy is, I went to test this in Publisher 2007. I entered
0.001" for the nudge distance. I then get a dialog that says I must enter a number that is between 0.001" and 2". It also doesn't accept 0.002, which is between 0.001" and 2". It will let me do a minimum of 0.005". That would be a bug. -- Brian Kvalheim "Ed Bennett" wrote: Rob Giordano [MS MVP] wrote: You have two answers to your original post under a different name...why not just scroll down and read them? The ruler guides can be set for .001 increments, if the snap is on, the nudge
will snap to this small increment. You have to zoom to see it happen. -- Mary Sauer http://msauer.mvps.org/ "Brian Kvalheim" wrote in message ... I just find it interesting that someone needs to nudge something that
distance. I've worked on mechanical drawings for parts with a looser tolerance than that. I would have thought that nudging something a hundredth of an inch would have been close enough. Guess not. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] Tech Editor for "Microsoft Publisher 2007 For Dummies" "Brian Kvalheim" wrote in message ... Dunno how you'd even see an increment that small.

I thought we squashed all those bugs before release? )
