I am curretly doing a spreadsheet package and i am needing help with doing formluaes. If anyone could help that would be great. I am a new user.

You can get lots of help here, but you need to ask specific questions.

Since the question is in very general terms.
Besides the newsgroups, of course, you might take a look at
some fo the tutorials available:

After going through a few of those, you might want to pick through the
books in your bookstore. John Walkenbach has several books
http://j-walk.com/ss/books/buybooks.htm
You can't help but notice his books on the store shelves.
