Distribution List Outlook 2003 SP1
In the Contact area, I have a distribution list that 2 months ago was working
fine. Just recently, when trying to use that list, it doesn't send the email to that group even though the group is still there (and I see the names in it when double clicked on. When in contacts, I right click the group name, click on New message to contact, and when double clicking on the name in the to: field, it's empty. When i just go to email and select the list from the address book dialog box, same problem. The email just doesn't go when I try to send it (beacuse none of the contacts in the distribution list are recognized). Any suggestions would be wonderful! Thanks. |

Did you change the location of the DL (i.e., move it to another Contact folder)? Did you change the location of your data file (PST)? Did you change anything else? -- Brian Tillman |

Distribution List Outlook 2003 SP1
Nothing changed. After the problem (because now when trying to add to the
DL) I'm getting an error message about it being full (there are only names and email addresses --- no additional info, in each contact and there are no more than 175 probably) I've tried to make it into 2 different lists, thinking that'd resolve the problem and that didn't work either. DLs do have limits on how much they can contain, not as a limit on the number of contacts, but on the limit of the number of characters, which can vary depending on how much data is in the contacts' records. A general rule of thumb would be to limit your DLs to about 125 members. You can nest DLs to help expand their capacity. -- Brian Tillman |
