Find and Replace
Hello,
I recently discovered an issue with Word XP and I was wondering if anyone might have a way to fix the problem. I use a lot of acronyms in my documents and recently decided to replace those acronyms with the actual words they represent. However, when I did a find and replace even though I told it to replace the acronym with the word it replaced it as all uppercase. For example the acronym CP when I told word to replace it with Control Point it replaced it CONTROL POINT in all caps. When I typed in cp and told word to replace it Word replaced it correctly with Control Point as typed. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance |

That's how it works. If you specify an upper case search string Word replaces
it with upper case. If it's a problem try specifying Whole Words in the find/replace dialog, then it should only change your acronyms. Nelson,
I know this sounds counter intuitive, but check More "match case." -----Original Message----- Hello, I recently discovered an issue with Word XP and I was wondering if anyone might have a way to fix the problem.
