Default Updating Personal Calendar and Public at the Same Time

A new executive at my company insists that at his old
company, in Outlook, he would make an update to his
personal calendar, and have an option when adding the
entry, to add it to his departments shared calendar at
the same time (without having to type it into both).

I can't find any way to do this whatsoever. Does anyone
have any idea? Thanks!
Greg

The only way to do that is with custom forms and code behind the forms, or
with a custom COM addin running in Outlook. An example of a form based
application like that is in the Northwind Contact Manager application shown
in Randy Byrne's Building Applications with Microsoft Outlook books.
