Mail Merge & Unprotected Form
Apologies if this needs to be in a Word Form forum but Im not sure if its a
mail merge or userform issue? I have a word document which I am merging excel data into and the mail merge works ok. The word document is an unprotected form (i.e. it contains text field sand checkboxes). The mail merge adds customer data such as name address etc. Below this I have a series of check boxes which I wish to "tick" depending on client requirements. The problem is that once merged, if I protect the form (in order to "tick" the checkboxes") the form cant be protected (I presume because of the mail merge). If I removed the mail merge and just had the word doc and I typed in the data which I was merging by hand then I can protect the form and the checkboxes work ok. Am I doing something worng or is this just a limitation of my methodology? -- Regards Andy Andy Roberts Win XP, Office 2007 |

You may find the following article useful - even if you are attempting
something slightly different, it may be worth rethinking how you are going about what you are doing: http://www.gmayor.com/Form_Fields_and_Mail_Merge.htm Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk On 25/03/2010 08:06, Andy Roberts wrote: Apologies if this needs to be in a Word Form forum but Im not sure if its a mail merge or userform issue?
