Line Number is a character style. In the Styles group on the Home tab, click
the dialog launcher to open the Style pane. Click on the Manage Styles button at the bottom. On the Edit tab, change the sort order to Alphabetical so you can easily locate the Line Number style. Select it, click Modify, and make the desired changes. Note that it is based on Default Paragraph Font; since there's really no paragraph style for line numbers (except maybe Normal), presumably this will, by default, be the default document style. -- Suzanne S. Line Numbering Fonts
I approached it slightly different...I'm using MS Word 2003. I selected
Format, then Font and I clicked on the Default button found on the bottom left of the Font Window. A dialogue box opened and asked if I wanted to change the Default font for the entire document to the font and size I had selected. I clicked "Yes" and the line number font automatically changed to match the rest of my document. I think that this may be the same kind of suggestion mentioned, but I found it in a slightly different way. "Kelly" wrote: Thank you so much for your help. -- Thanks. Kelly "Suzanne S. The difference is that what Suzanne suggested changes the settings of the
Line Number style explicitly, while your approach changes the font of the Normal style for the current document (and its template). -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Ryan" wrote in message ...
