Default Getting Outlook to background send and recieve if not running

Is it possible to get Outlook to background send and receive if not running.
I was thinking that there might be a setting to have the Outlook send and
receive function run as a taskbar task at start-up.
What I want to do is have my desktop machine at home pick up my e-mails and
then forward them to another e-mail account on my laptop.
The problem is that if I forget to leave Outlook running on the desktop
machine I get no e-mails sent to my other account.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

There is no OL setting.
Place an OL shortcut in the startup folder.
I assume yr ISP doesnt have the facility to forward/copy mail to another
account
