Default Why do appointments not show as bold calendar dates 13 months out.

Having cleanly reinstalled Windows XP Pro and MS Office 2003, I ended up with
some duplicate files in Outlook after restoring files from Backup. Having
eliminated duplicates, I now have a Calendar in which Appointments will
bolden the Calendar Dates for only 12 months, and not beyond.
I need this function to extend out indefinitely.
How do I recover this function?
