Default TOC over a single section

Hello all,
I have a word doc set up with heading styles and into sections. At the very front of the document I wish to have a TOC showing Heading 1 & Heading 2 fro the entire document. I have managed this part!
However, I wish to also have a TOC at the start of each main section (defined by heading 1 style and a section break) showing contents using Heading 2 & Heading 3 but only for that section.
Currently I am having to place a TOC of the whole document (using heading 2 & heading 3) then delete all the other heading titles and sub titles that I do not need for that section. This is fine until I update the table and all those deleted come back again. Is there a way of restraining word to give you a TOC over one section?
Thanks in advance,
j

Hi Johnny

The technique is to put a bookmark around the section and then use the \b
switch in the second TOC field to restrict it to that bookmark. Details are
in the section "A partial table of contents" in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TOCSwitches.htm.

Thanks Jay,

I seem to have made it work with a bit of trial and error. I now have ;

{ TOC \B overview \H \Z \T "heading 3,1, heading 4,2" },

as a matter of interest (and control!) what are the \H, \Z and \T ??

Those are all explained in the article I linked before
(http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/TOCSwitches.htm). Briefly,

\H = hyperlink the text, not just page numbers
\Z = suppress tab leaders in Web Page view
\T = use heading styles other than built-ins, or
associate non-default outline levels with styles
