Default Capital letters in e-mail adress

Something is triggering some of my conatcts e-mail address to start with
capital letters in the first two postiions. I have copied the global address
list into my contacts list so I only have to search one list for all e-mails
(in case that might have caused this). When I try to add them to a to list
SLang will not show as I type Scott Lang (even after multiple messages to
that person), but if I enter the address as SL, then the auto fill completes.
How do I keep the first two letters from capitalizing and how can I find the
e-mail address using Scott. Display name is Scott Lang; outlook 2003, 2300
contacts in my contact list (I don't know if there is a max)

Of course "Scott Lang" won't appear when you type "SLang" because "Scott"
begins with "Sc", not "SL".

How do I keep the first two letters from capitalizing

Remove the autocompletion entry and address another message with the case
specified how you want it.

and how can I find the e-mail address using Scott. Display name is Scott
Lang.

Choose the address from the Contacts, send the messsage, and the
autocompletion cache will remember the "Display As" field.

Thank you, I thought I had tried that, but in following your directions it
worked. Thanx for the quick reply and help, it was very frustrating.

On the Scott Lang thing, I should have mentioned his e-mail address is SLang@
etc that's why typing SL seems to bring him up, but his dispaly name is Scott
Lang yet typing Scott will not show him.

This would indicate that you've never resolved the address as "Scott Lang",
then. Perhaps your contact's Display As field is "Lang, Scott", which means
that you'd find his address if you entered an "L". You can certainly add an
entry of "Scott Lang" to your autocompletion cache if you wish. Open a new
message window and in the To field enter

Scott Lang slang@whatever

then press CTRL-K to resolve the address. Now when you type "Sc" (or just
"S", for that matter) the entry will appear.
