Data not showing on form when reopened
Howdy,
I've done something to my form/table and I don't know what but now it isn't doing what I need it to. I'm hoping you may have some idea what it is I've done. If not I guess I'll have to start from scratch - good practice! What is happening is that every time I open my form I get a blank form. Which is great, but I can get to the data entered last time in the form which is sitting in the underlying table. I've checked the table and the data is there, but the navigation buttons on the form tell me that when I'm in me blank form that I am at record one. I have command buttons to find records and delete them and go to the previous record on the form. These work while I am in the form and entering data, but after I go out and come back in they don't work until I have re-etered the records. What would I have done to cause this. I fugure it is something that is happening on the opening of the form, but I can't see what it is. Any ideas greatly appreciated!! |

You have changed your form's properties to Data Entry. In the form's
DesignView, open the property sheet and click on the Data tab. Change the Data Entry property from Yes to No. -- Arvin Meyer, MCP, MVP Microsoft Access Free Access downloads: http://www.datastrat.com http://www.mvps.org/access "SueM" wrote in message ... Thanks Arvin, and thanks also to Dan,
You were 100% right - simple little errors aye they can mess things up drastically. I can see all I need to now - yay! Thanks!
