Default Move Document Templates

Have a number of especially designed Document Templates ( .dot) in
MSWord2000. Contemplating installing 2003 and don’t want to loose these
custom templates.

How do I locate the MSW2000 .dot files in order to save and later copy them
to the newly installed 2003 software?

Secondly, what would be the directory path in Word2003 to place these custom
Templates in the new software's working folder?

If this is not feasible, what do you suggest?

If you install Word 2003 over Word 2000, your templates should remain in
place without issue. But see these articles:
