Default "floating" page? Thesis formatting question

I need to find a way to make a "floating" page.
My pictures need to be on separate page from my text, but I don't want to just put in page breaks in the middle of text. What I'd like to do is have a page that will insert itself between two full pages, and if I format the text on either page, it will float around the inserted page.
Is this possible?

Unfortunately, this is not possible, since any graphic must be
anchored to a paragraph and thus cannot be isolated on a page.

The best you can do is to anchor the pictures that should be on a page
by themselves to an empty paragraph, and then format that paragraph
and the following paragraph to have "Page break before" formatting (on
the Line and Page Breaks tab of the Format Paragraph dialog box).
The easiest way to manage this is to create a style for the purpose
and apply it to the relevant paragraphs.

|This is | | Page | |Page | |Another |
|a page | | break | |break | |page here|
|before | | before| |before | | |
|the | | para | |para | | |
|picture | | here | |here | | |
| | | | | | |Text | | |
| | |picture| |continues| |
| | | here | |here | | |
